i try to convert an excel file (xls extention) to text file (tab delimited), but no result with this comand
cat xxx.xls > xxx.txt

I have compiled GhostPDL that provides a shell script pcl2pdf that calls the executable pcl6.
pcl6 compiled with no errors using gmake and gcc. Running pcl2pdf generates a core dump when trying to convert a pcl file to pdf.
I have installed the Ghost fonts. Does anyone have GhostPDL compiled... (1 Reply)

Please suggest ways to easily convert pdf to text in perl only on windows (no other tools can be downloaded)
Here is what I have been doing :
using a module CAM::PDF to extract data. But it shows everything in messy format :wall:

We're looking for a program that can convert Text and PCL formats into a PDF. We're not looking to spend a fortune so my search so far has come up empty handed as everyone wants an arm and a leg. I found txt2pdf, but that doesn't support PCL formats. Any help would be appreciated.

podofotxt2pdf - convert plain text files into PDF files
SYNOPSIS
podofotxt2pdf [-fontname <name>] [-utf8] [inputfile] [outputfile]
DESCRIPTION
podofotxt2pdf is one of the command line tools from the PoDoFo library that provide several useful operations to work with PDF files. It
can convert a plain text file into a PDF file.
OPTIONS
-fontname <name>
Use the font <name>.
-utf8
specifies that the input text is UTF8 encoded instead of Windows ANSI encoding.
[inputfile]
Input PDF file.
[outputfile]
Output PDF file.
