Data use tape from another server

Hi,

The tape of one of my AIX server dies, I need to do mksysb. Can I use another AIX server to save the mksysb.

How do I configure the mksysb to go to another AIX server?

Thanks in advance,
Itik

Im afraid IBM doesnt offer that possibility ...
You will have to do an mksysb -i (for image.data file to be included...) to disk and copy this image on the other server you can the save it on tape but unless you do more to it, it can not be used "as a mksysb" tape for it will not be bootable...
You will have to use NIM to install with it...
