Can't alter bootlist

Made a sysback tape backup on our 595 running 4.1.5 but when trying to do a restore discovered that rmt0 not in bootlist(s).

Tried to alter both the normal and service bootlists but system wont respond to F7(commit).

Erased the service boolist then tried alter again, same result. Now have an empty service mode bootlist. Any special tricks to get this old microchannel box back on track?

Lacking a machine to test it as i'm writing here i can only give you general directions, check everything i say and don't rely on every word being 100% to the point.

Having said this: there is a command "bootlist", which can be used to set the bootlist. There should be a manpage for it, it is something like "bootlist -k <mode to set, m=maintenance, n=normal, s=service> <list of devices>".

I hope this helps.

Thanks, got it working.

No manpages on our system, and my initial searches on this problem yielded a comment that 'boolist' command valid on 4.2 and later. Obviously not correct.
