Hi all,

I would like to ensure that a volume group has an effective quorum setting of 1 (or off). I know you can change the quorum setting using the chvg -Q command but want to know if the setting has been changed before the vg was varied on or a reboot.

In other words how can I ensure that the VG has quorum turned off? A lsvg VG says quorum is set to 1 but is this currently effective?

We need not worry about whether quorum was set before or later, as long as the VG is activated. Because the quorum is checked only when a VG becomes active.

but that is my concern. We may have volume groups which have been activated with quorum set and then changed with chvg. So it looks like quorum is off and yet it is actively on until you varyoff/on the volume group.

I suspect there is no way to tell for sure?

I still can't get this question. Why would you worry about "quorum" on an active VG ?.
