I won't get the login screen

Hi to all,

I am new to AIX.I faced some desktop problem from past few days.

when i login to that machine, i won't get the login screen.

Why it's happening lot of times, i don't know.

I get only blank screen.

Could any knows please help me.

It's very urget to me.

It might be a problem with the /etc/resolve.conf not finding the declared DNS. What is the machine? Can you get to a system console and log on as root? If can log on rename resolve.conf (mv resolve.conf oldresolve).

check different protocols, like ssh, telnet, rlogin, even ftp can help if you have no other access to this system

try clean up (but back up first) your home directory from invisible files (.dt for example),if it works then, you can reconfigure your system, or just put important files like dtwmrc back
