To add a managed system, select the Server Management bar and choose Add
Managed System(s)

So why do you think you need to add (or remove) the managed system to (from) /etc/hosts?

I think you need to go into the connectivity settings and setup the remote connectivity and the firewall, you don't need to mess with the hosts file on these machines.
