none of those things worked on my 44P...

so right now i'm doing a overwrite install, my last (and only) option.
I will try to do an upgrade from 5200-01 to 5200-04 and then up to 5200-07...

It's really weird...

One more question. Is it coincidence that a LOT of problems on the internet implies to the 44P model 170? or am I mistaking????

It has more to do with the pre-requisites of the ML to 7. I found that a lot of the systems pre-reqs were missing when going from 1 to 7 but were not when going from 4 to 7!

Indeed
What I did now:

did a full reinstall from 5200-00
after this i went to 5200-01
after this i went to 5200-04 without any troubles
finally I went to 5200-07 (i needed the 2 versions 520007v1 en 520007v2).
Everything went well, no more mounting problems...

Right now I'm moving _slowly_ towards 5200-09-03

There are a lot of filesets to download to get to 5200-08 and higher... so it will take a while...

Double No.of CPU's shown by nmon10 on AIX 5.3 ML8 SP3
