Hello,

it seems verry difficult to give a machine an other id.
If i would change files you told about, would then
any software use that new id or do some software
read the special register directly?

Can the changes be done by a script or any other
tool? Is there a tool doing that?

machine id

I have a ibm 43p150 and I want to know if you have the solution
for changing the machine id , my machine is under aix 433 or aix5l

Hello,

changing the numbers hasn't that effect i wanted.
After i got with odmget the changed numbers, but the programs
are using the old id.
