When I submit a .ksh script via the <at> command the script cannot find its input file specified every now and then.

Code:

at now
myscript.ksh inputfile.dat

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. enter at now
2. enter script name and file name spell the filename incorrectly
3. backspace and correct the file name.
4. submit job.

A message is returned indicating that the input filename cannot be found. The wierd thing is that my variables in the script are echoing back the corrected file name which does exist. This does not happen when I run the command from the prompt.

Any ideas?

Try using absolute path name instead of just the filename.

Does it work if you spell the filename correctly? I am thinking that the terminal is echoing special wierd characters when you specify backspace namely (^?) which will be invisible on terminal but the at command will probably "see" this.
