Using cvs on AIX

Hello. I am using CVS on my AIX 6.1 box. I have gotten the repository setup and everything is working from command line. Now I want to use CVS on my Windows 7 machine using the remote repository on my AIX box. Has anyone else tried this? Why can't I get this to work?

I have tried using just rsh instead of ssh but I get this:
Code:
C:\>cvs checkout PBP
cvs checkout: warning: unrecognized response `rshd: 0826-811 The remote user login is not correct.' from cvs server
cvs [checkout aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)

I can find cvs on the remote machine....
Code:
C:\>rsh bubba which cvs
/usr/local/bin/cvs

Ideas?

Check for log messages on your AIX box. Your windows machine might be giving it an odd username or the like.

Where would those log messages be?

---------- Post updated at 01:45 PM ---------- Previous update was at 01:39 PM ----------

I have set the CVS_CLIENT_LOG variable on the client to c:\cvslog.
the output from cvslog.out is:

Code:
rshd: 0826-811 The remote user login is not correct.

It would be nice to know what my remote user login is. I can rsh to the server just fine.

I suspect your remote user logins correspond to usernames on the AIX system.
