AIX

My application resides on an AIX server and sends out emails when a job is completed, and a report ready to be picked up. However the from address of the email seems to have our test server's name, instead of the production server. In reality the mail is coming from the production server only. I wonder if the test server name could be hard coded anywhere. Can someone please guide me as to what needs to be changed to point to the right server name in the from address.

can you post your mail command from the script

Check for the description against your user-id in /etc/passwd file.

The from-text generally comes from the "comments" field from the said file.

This is how the From address looks:
From: no-reply@icpmtest.lexington.ibm.com
The portion after the @ symbol is wrong. Please help.

are you using -f option in your mail command ?

what is your server name ?
