Hi Gurus,
I export a share in Windows server 2016 and mount the share on AIX 5.3 using CIFS.
If I create a subdirectory in AIX, then windows can see the new subdirectory.
But, I create a subdirectory in windows, then AIX can't see the new subdirectory.

i need my script1.sh to generate /tmp/temp.txt with full permissions i.e

But the script1.sh generates temp.txt with different permissions as shown below.

Hi,
We have a directory being exported from Windows 2008 R2.
When this is mounted on SunOS5.10 everything looks normal however. If we create a file abc.txt on the windows server:
# ls -la
total 26
drwxrwxrwx 2 nobody nobody 64 Nov 18 10:28 .

I am trying to set a share between windows and an AIX server. I was able to do this to a windows 2008 server. I am now trying to get this to worked on a windows 7 enterprise pc. below is what i get. One of our clients has an old QNX server system that writes history backups on ZIP disks. They then wish to take these back up ZIP disks, plug them into a Win7 box with an external ZIP drive and copy them across to an external Hard Drive.

NAME
mount.nfs, mount.nfs4 - mount a Network File System
SYNOPSIS
mount.nfs remotetarget dir [-rvVwfnsh ] [-o options]
DESCRIPTION
mount.nfs is a part of nfs(5) utilities package, which provides NFS client functionality.
mount.nfs is meant to be used by the mount(8) command for mounting NFS shares. This subcommand, however, can also be used as a standalone
command with limited functionality.
remotetarget is a server share usually in the form of servername:/path/to/share. dir is the directory on which the file system is to be
mounted.
Under Linux 2.6.32 and later kernel versions, mount.nfs can mount all NFS file system versions. Under earlier Linux kernel versions,
mount.nfs4 must be used for mounting NFSv4 file systems while mount.nfs must be used for NFSv3 and v2.
OPTIONS
-r Mount file system readonly.
-v Be verbose.
-V Print version.
-w Mount file system read-write.
-f Fake mount. Don't actually call the mount system call.
-n Do not update /etc/mtab. By default, an entry is created in /etc/mtab for every mounted file system. Use this option to skip making
an entry.
-s Tolerate sloppy mount options rather than fail.
-h Print help message.
