"instfix" command

I dont think that instfix shows you which edition you have installed as the OS itself doesnt really care - as the base OS is exactly the same. If you have express instead of standard version installed, you will not be able to create lpars with more than 4 cpus and 32 GB, if you have enterprise edition installed you have additional features like workload partitions or systems director enterprise edition - but you can mix and match different versions on one box and during installation your system has no idea what you actually have licensed.
