Model old user for new user

Hello,
an employee just left the company and a new user has taken his place.

the request is to for the new user to have the same access to the servers as the old employee had.

the old user still has his account present on the servers. can anyone tell me an easy way of doing this? without manually going to each server?

I have a server list of all aix servers in our enviornment. not sure, but if a script can be made to ssh into each server and spit out which server the old account is on. I can then manually add the new account to each server.

thanks!

Does he really need exactly the same access as the old account? Same files and everything?

no, basically he just needs a shell account.

Code:
for SERVER in a b c d e f g
do
        ssh "$SERVER" grep "^username:" /etc/passwd '>' /dev/null '&&' echo "$SERVER"
done

Single-ticks around '>' and '&&' necessary since we want them executed on the remote side, not the local side

I have a file called list in my home dir with the server names

for SERVER in list
> do
> ssh "$SERVER" grep "^username:" /etc/passwd '>' /dev/null '&&' echo "$SERVER"
> done
ssh: Could not resolve hostname list: Hostname and service name not provided or found

done < list
