Hi Admins,

And also another issue with another HMC.

Code:
...
A terminal session is already open for this partition.
Only one open session is allowed for a partition.

Read this again and again... If you have sufficient rights on your HMC you should see by your own what menu option you should take...

For your second question, check your HMCs error logs, as the error code HSCL251D will lead you to some explanation using Google for example.

What do you not understand from those messages? No signs of effort - no solution.

It seems that the message is bright and clear just read carefully and close any opened terminal session and close it that's it .
Code:
A terminal session is already open for this partition.
Only one open session is allowed for a partition.

Hi admins,

Thanks for the suggestions.Let me tell you ,this is the first time i am using hmc and vtmenu.

Regarding
Code:
terminal session is already open for this partition.
Only one open session is allowed for a partition.

how to check the opened terminal session.

Regarding
Code:
Retrieving name of managed system(s) . . . HSCL251D There was an unknown internal Hardware Management Console error.

i have already googled and found solutions like reboot hmc and check ttys. Now i need to know the path of the hmc log.

I have very little knowledge on hmc and lpars. As i already said this is the first time m using vtmenu and hmc.So please dont mistake that i dumbly forwarded the issue here.

from command line:
Code:
rmvterm -m framename -p lparname

This closes the open terminal session to your lpar no matter who opened it.

Than you can open a new one with
Code:
mkvterm -m framename -p lparname

Which frame and LPAR do think it is. We are here to help not do the work for you! We all learnt by experience which is gained by trial and error! Not someone doing it for you!
