View OS version within HMC web GUI?

Hello there

Im wondering is there any way to see lpar OS info (like 5.3 or 6.1) in HMC web GUI?

Because in some situation, the lpar is inactive, the only way to check OS version is to activate, this process takes time Smilie

Tks!

I'm not sure if there is a way from web GUI to show the LPAR OS version.
Right now I have no access to an HMC web interface to give you a proper answer.

I just checked my GUI and I don't see it saying specifically. It just says that the Environment is either AIX or Linux. We just named our LPARS to indicate what O/S was running (we have the same sort of thing AIX 5.3 and AIX 6.1)

Tks, if Im the admin of those servers, I would have named them as you said, but they are actually our customer's servers. Thats why I need a way to check its OS

if you have enough permissions to see the lpar profile under properties, there the OS is shown - at least on my hmc's
