when i give date command it shows the time zone as
I want to change the time zone to GMT +02:00:
After i change the time zone it should show something like the one below when i type the date command:
Fri Sep 16 10:42:28 GMT+02:00 2011
Also should i stop the xntp daemons running before changing the time zone:

I just want to update the timezone file with new file to update the time, so the zone in /etc/TIMEZONE will be the same but the file it refers to will be changed, and the local time should be changed, can this take effect without rebooting Solaris 10? (9 Replies)

Hi,
I am trying to change my Time Zone (TZ) variable in AIX 5.3
For that I have changed in /etc/environment
as TZ=GMT-1:30
although it is working but strangely none of my cronjobs are
executing at the correct time which were executing earlier
before TZ change.
