mod_auth_pam on AIX
Hi,

i have to configure an Apache httpd-server on AIX 5.3.
It is required that users are able to authenticate with their unix user.
I read, that mod_auth_pam is a module that can solve this problem (but it is no longer supported.)
Where can I get mod_auth_pam (precompiled) for AIX?
Or do you know an alternative for mod_auth_pam?

Did you check the contents of the package httpd-2.2.17-2.aix5.1.ppc.rpm
at www.perzl.org - My Open Source packages for AIX and Linux on POWER ?

Or maybe mod-auth-external - Apache External Authentication Module - Google Project Hosting can be an alternative for you.

Yes, I installed the package httpd-2.2.17-1.aix5.1.ppc.rpm from perzl.org. The packages of this website don't contain the pam-module.

I will test this, but I hope, that I will get it compiled.

If it doesn't work, you could also check out IHS, IBM Http Server, which is a modified Apache, at least it's modules. Maybe it has a module that will work for you. It could be that it is part of the WAS (Websphere Application Server).
