AIX /etc/host configuration
hi, i need to configurate a new ip range, for example 18.76.104.1 to 18.76.104.254. in the host file. i'd like to know if i have to do this manually or there is another way to do it automatically??

I'll Apreciate any help

the hosts file resolves ip adresses to names and vice versa - but you do not configure entire networks in there - why would you wanna do that ? Define a route via a gateway into this subnet if the default gateway which you configure while setting up tcpip initially doesn't do the trick anyways, and the rest should be done by say a DNS server?

Maybe I just don't understand what you want to achieve so please tell us more about what you are trying to do.
