PowerHA - assistant can't find network

I've configured multiple clusters using PowerHA 5.5, but never using the 'Two-node cluster configuration assistant'. I removed all the clusters, clean setup, and gave the assistant a try. I've filled in all the necessary options:
  • Communication Path to Takeover Node
  • Application Server
  • Application Start Script
  • Application Stop Script
  • Service IP Label
The assistant tries to create the cluster but I get the following output:

IP Network Discovery completed normally
ERROR: No network includes all nodes.
The Configuration Assistant requires at least one network that includes
all cluster nodes.

What's the problem? Node1 has IP 192.168.172.124, node2 has IP 192.168.172.125. They both have the correct settings in the /etc/hosts file and can ping each other. If I don't use the assistant everything works well, but I need to evaluate this option so it has to work Smilie

Blank the cluster nodes /usr/es/sbin/cluster/etc/rhosts, then start over. If your IP-Settings are valid according to network rules the Assistant works.

On both nodes, the rhosts are blank. After I get the error from the assistant, the rhosts on node 1 is still blank and the rhosts on node 2 contains the IP of node 1. I've tried to add the node 2 ip to the rhosts on node 1 but same result. Cleared them again but still no luck, 'no network includes all nodes'.

IP-settings are (in my eyes) valid.

Do you want to say that because you know that your settings are valid this thread can be closed? And you expect from us to make educated guesses on what your IP-settings actually look like? Smilie If you were in my shoes, what information do you think I am going to ask from you next? Smilie

These are the IP settings on both nodes:

en0:flags=1e080863,480<UP,BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST,GROUPRT,64BIT,CHECKSUM_OFFLOAD(ACTIVE),CHAIN>
    inet 192.168.172.124 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.172.255
     tcp_sendspace 262144 tcp_recvspace 262144 rfc1323 1

NODE2
Code:
hostname: PHA_2
interface: en0
IP: 192.168.172.125

/etc/hosts on both nodes:
Code:

I am beginning to get a picture but need some more details: What are your cluster node's non-service IPs (formerly known as boot-IPs), what (if any) are your Persistant IPs and what is your Service-IP? Do you use IPAT with Aliasing or IPAT with Replacement?

Service IP -> 192.168.172.126

I don't have any persistant IP's and use IPAT with aliasing.

Boot IPs, I think that they are the same as the node IPs?

Node1 -> 192.168.172.124
Node2 -> 192.168.172.125

I hope that's enough information? I'm not exactly an AIX expert, just a beginner Smilie I've read the PowerHA for AIX cookbook but I can't seem to get the assistant working..
