AIX

Just want to know if someone has a clue about what could be happening here:

I have an AIX box with four NICs in Ether channel connected to a Cisco Switch.

When I try to ping the default gateway, sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn't work unless it has a defined static route.

link aggregation only works if your switch is supporting LACP. And I do not really understand what you mean with defined static route for a ping to your default gateway? You should have a static route to it by default in any case at it would usually be the next server in your network?

How did you define your linkaggregation - all adapters in parallel or 3 with one backup?
