Stop grep in /proc

Hello,

I want to kill a root process:

Code:

# find/ | xargs grep - L “G-string”

The grep is in /proc and obviously the kill -9 does not stop it.
How to stop it without shutdown -Fr ?

If a kill -9 can't stop it, you have only a power off/reboot etc. as last option, afaik. Killing the parent process, probably the shell from where you issued it, will most probably hand it over to init. Worth a try though.
