Installing nmap binaries on AIX
Hi ,
I am trying to install nmap binaries on AIX 5.3 system.
I want it to be installed in the usr/bin directory but it is getting installed in usr/local/bin directory by default, without prompting for installation directory.

Is there any way i can install nmap in usr/bin directory ?

are you compiling it? Does it use the standard configure/make method? If so, just add --prefix=/usr to your configure statement.

No i am not compiling it.
I have the installer binary file(tar) and intalling it directly.

Can I not do this configuration which you are suggesting this way ?
