The server is a Blade JS22 in a BladeCenter S chassis.
My system is up to date with AIX 5.3 TL11 (5300-11-01-0944) and i have already updated my microcode to the recommended version by the vendor.

In addition to this problem when the error shows up, i´m experiencing connectivity issues like loosing connection to the server but still pinging from the outside network.

sounds like your box is really physically out of memory (physical and virtual) when this problem occurs. That would explain your login issues too - you would need to start a new process and there is just no memory on the box to do this. How much memory does your system have and how much is really unused - and do you have lru_file_repage switched on or off?
IBM says: Configurations containing a Host Ethernet Adapter (HEA) require more memory than the 512 MB minimum. Each logical HEA port that is configured requires an additional 102 MB of memory. The minimum memory requirement for configurations with one or more HEA ports configured, where n is the number of HEA ports, is 512MB + n*102MB.
It isn't a memory issue, because physical mem is 16 Gb. and paging space is the same size.
After loosing my connection to the server, at the dumb console the server runs ok, and without an abnormal memory usage.
The ethernet adapter is only one.

I got every time the same error leaving directory etc when i install any software. I put up the command and the error below, kindly help me out so i could proceed.

I have a failed raid array that is mismatched in size of the entire hard drives. The portions that are shared are, of course, the same. The smaller drive failed. Here is the working drive setup (a picture is worth 1000 words).

we have p770 running in AIX 5.3 TL11 , oracle installed in the server , some times the HEA will lose the connection for some reason we try with our local support to fix the issue but there is no luck , we change the HEA hardware but the problem still , it was running with firmware... (1 Reply)
