Question hard disk information in AIX

Hi,

Other than df -k, is there any command that will tell me all physical hard drives installed on the system as well as the size of each one?

I'm using AIX 5.1

Thanks,

Hi, I would use:-

lspv to show all volumes, then to probe the disk further issue the lspv with the volume ie. lspv hdisk1

Hope that answers your question.

You could also use lscfg (Not sure if it is there in 5.1 as I have only use 4.3) and this should list all the hardware in your system. Once you have found the device you want type lscfg -vl <devicename> for more detailed info on it
