AIX

Hello everyone

I updated a partition from TL06 to TL09, everything looks ok.

I check the errpt comand, lppchk -v and both are fine.

But when I type this command I got this

$ instfix -i |grep ML
All filesets for 5300-02_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 5.3.0.0_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 5300-01_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 5300-03_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 5300-04_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 5300-05_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 5300-06_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 5300-07_AIX_ML were found.
Not all filesets for 5300-08_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 5300-09_AIX_ML were found.

My question is there is a problem that I dont have all the filesets from TL08 ?
or
I dont have to worried about it

Don't worry, this means nothing. It is probably some driver which didn't receive an update in ML 8 but did so in ML 9.

Find out which fileset is affected (see the pinned thread in this forum for a procedure) and post it, if you want to know more details.

Update technology level

see the post from homeyjoe

to findout what it is have a look at this

oslevel -r
oslevel -rq
5300-09
5300-08
5300-07

then use the top one fro the following command

eg
oslevel -rl 5300-09

this will tel you all you need to go to the correct level.
