Wanted: Thinkpad 800 systems (820, 850, 860, etc) (ppc 603e)

Hello everyone,

I'm working on a for-fun project where I'm assembling a mass of various old computers, including a number of earlier UNIX workstations. They will be on display at a number of east coast conferences (HOPE, Shmoocon, etc).

I'm trying to find a Thinkpad 860, 850, 820 or one of the other Thinkpads. These are unique in that they contain 603e PPC processors and run AIX 4.14.

The actual model line was 800 (early/proto) 820, 821, 822, 823, 850, 851, 860.

Any leads would be appreciated! They are far slow by today's standards and I'm afraid many of them have been discarded.

These machines were built in the middle of the nineties (last century). I doubt you will find one other than by sheer chance.

We had a TP860 configured as a mobile NIM Server back then in a big data center i worked for. Nice machine and i would appreciate it if IBM would still build them.
