Your interpreter is listed as csh, but you are using the syntax for sh/ksh/bash. You have to either change the interpreter to sh style shells, or change the code to this:
When I execute following shell script I am getting the following error

I really just mess around in UNIX, for the most part, when I want to get something done. when user select option 2 nothing happen.for testing purpose I put
