Here is what the manual says:

fsck - check and repair file systems

OPTIONS
-FFSType Specify the file system type on which to operate.

-m Check but do not repair. This option checks that
the file system is suitable for mounting, return-
ing the appropriate exit status. If the file sys-
tem is ready for mounting, fsck displays a mes-
sage such as:

ufs fsck: sanity check: /dev/rdsk/c0t3d0s1 okay

f Force checking of file systems regard-
less of the state of their super block
clean flag.

p Check and fix the file system non-
interactively ("preen"). Exit immedi-
ately if there is a problem requiring
intervention. This option is required to
enable parallel file system checking.

w Check writable file systems only.

EXIT STATUS
0 file system is okay and does not need checking

1 erroneous parameters are specified

32 file system is unmounted and needs checking (fsck
-m only)

33 file system is already mounted

34 cannot stat device

36 uncorrectable errors detected - terminate normally

37 a signal was caught during processing

39 uncorrectable errors detected - terminate immedi-
ately

Hi everybody, I have Ultra 5 operating station, I fixed a new 80 GB HDD, when Iam installing Solaries "2.6, veeeeery old" the system see the hard disk as only 8002 MB "8GB" what can I do so the system will consider the whole capacity of the HDD. any capacity higher then 8 GB will be seen as 8 GB... NAME

       mkfs.minix - make a Linux MINIX filesystem

SYNOPSIS

       mkfs.minix [-c|-l filename] [-n namelength] [-i inodecount] [-v] device [size-in-blocks]

DESCRIPTION

       mkfs.minix creates a Linux MINIX file-system on a device (usually a disk partition).

       The device is usually of the following form:

	      /dev/hda[1-8] (IDE disk 1)
	      /dev/hdb[1-8] (IDE disk 2)
	      /dev/sda[1-8] (SCSI disk 1)
	      /dev/sdb[1-8] (SCSI disk 2)

       The  size-in-blocks parameter is the desired size of the file system, in blocks.  It is present only for backwards compatibility.  If omit-
       ted the size will be determined automatically.  Only block counts strictly greater than 10 and strictly less than 65536 are allowed.

OPTIONS

       -c     Check the device for bad blocks before creating the file system.	If any are found, the count is printed.

       -n namelength
	      Specify the maximum length of filenames.	Currently, the only allowable values are 14 and 30.  The default is 30. Note that  kernels
	      older than 0.99p7 only accept namelength 14.

       -i inodecount
	      Specify the number of inodes for the filesystem.

       -l filename
	      Read the bad blocks list from filename.  The file has one bad block number per line.  The count of bad blocks read is printed.

       -v     Make a Minix version 2 filesystem.

EXIT CODES

       The exit code returned by mkfs.minix is one of the following:

       0      No errors

       8      Operational error

       16     Usage or syntax error
