I'm not sure of the solution you are looking for..
But in future, before installing windows take a back up of MBR because windows always overwrites the MBR and we can't see linux bootup at all. If you have back up, after windows installation you can restore the old MBR .

Yesterday I had to reinstall my dual boot because my bank smart card reader does not work with Solaris so I reinstalled Solaris after I installed Windows 7.
When I turn on PC I get grub stage 2 and Solaris has made an entry in menu.lst but does not boot windows .
