If your time zone and date are correct, which I think you are indicating to be true, then you can just use the "date" command (see man date) to set the time to the correct time. For example, if it is 11:35 am, you could set the time by running:
date 1135.00
That should do it.

The file /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_min_frequency reads a value of 800 Mhz . The powertop tool also suggested that 800 Mhz w3as the minimum frequency being used . First i did set the timezone to PST 2010 (which is less than GMT basically negative timezone)

EXPORTED FUNCTIONS
date_now_array([TIME])
Returns array of date items for given date. If source date is not set current date used.
