Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows how can I send an SNMP Trap in Unix Environment(AIX) to another machine (NT/Ux) after having activated the SNMP in the AIX.
Can this be done by using a single command line or do I have to write a script for it?

Hi,
We had an upgrade today morning and since then mailx command is not working.
I have been told to change the DNS to use host name as smtp.companyname.com instead of the IP address.
Can someone please help me out to know where can I change this on a Unix Server.

Currently DELL OMSA SNMP sends data through default udp port 161.I want my custom SNMP MIB also to send data in the same udp port 161.Whether its possible.If yes where to configure .I tried starting my custom MIB in udp port 161,but it throws port already in use.Kindly guide. (0 Replies)

The cpq_mibs daemon is the subagent that implements support for the Compaq Tru64 UNIX MIBs. It currently supports the following MIBs: cpqHealth cpqHost cpqScsi cpqStdEq cpqSysInfo cpqNIC This daemon is started and stopped automatically, and in conjunction with the SNMP master agent snmpd; no configuration or user action is required. When servicing requests for these MIBs, unexpected conditions are logged using the syslog function.
