Most experienced people would suggest that if you can't do something from the command line that you don't know it, and any admin tool that doesn't run from the comand line, or have a command line version is 'broken'. It's not easy to script a gui.

espeak-gui [OPTIONS] [FILES] DESCRIPTION
espeak-gui is a little application to let the computer read out text for you. If you run espeak-gui listing one or more text files as arguments, the content of those files will be loaded automatically. OPTIONS
