Menu driven using Ksh
Hi Guys,
I would like to know how to write Menu driven programs
using ksh.
I have several script files 1.sh 2.sh 3.sh ...so on 25 files
I want to create a Menu which will calls submenus.
Main Menu
1. Data Entry
if you press 1 again submenu 1. Order entry
2. Customer Entry
3. Exit
if I Press Escape here it should go back to main menu
ctrl key to be trapped
2. Reports
3. Queries
4. Exit

i'm confused what this means.
i was asked to design a menu or command line option driven script that reads out of a DB and displays info such as
read_data.pl -u <user> -e <event>
which would print commands run by <user>with the <event> in the db.

METHODS
new()
Inherited from LedgerSMB::DBObject. Please see that documnetation for details.
generate()
This function returns a list of menu items. Each list item is a hashref: keys %menu_item would return the equivalent of qw(position id
level label path args). Returns the complete list and sets $menu->{menu_items} to a referene to th result set, This function does not
return an entry for the top-level menu.
generate_section()
This class acts like Menu::Generate except it returns only a cross-section of the menu. Basically it returns all nodes which are
direct children below $object->{parent_id}.
will_expire_soon()
This method returns true if the user's password will expire soon (within the next week).
