interesting that someone else has encountered the same thing. Yes, your solution has come to mind. But that will be a last resort. At the moment I havenīt got the space to create extra partitions. I need to get a new HD to backup things.

This partition that is lost to w2k has just been a normal drive, it never had w2k installed on it.

The partimage thing looks interesting, will keep it in mind for the future. It says itīs NTFS support is experimental though, maybe that was why it didnīt work for you?
