I need to automate the whole process, so as it gets the file from local Pc takes it into unixserver, then manipulates the file according to whatever and waits till it finished, then ftp's it back to local Pc for me to E-mail to managers etc!..
any help would be good
I had thought of automating a telnet script then calling an Ftp script,,,although I thought that would be a little long winded, also I'm not that up on programming to do this sort of thing...At the moment I have an ftp script (Windows Xp side) that automatically transfers the file onto the box, and on the Unix end I have the script that does what I need but I need to join these together into one script, which would be alot easier
