Passing variables to sql from batch shell in linux
Hi,
I need to put this command in a batch shell.
sqlplus -s user/password @test.sql
and in the test.sql I have this command
select * from pbempl where pebempl_id = $1;
How I can pass the variable $1 from the batch shell???

and i want to pass them to my script such as:

I have sql statment in my shell script , I pass two argument to the script I need to pass the this two arguments to the sql statment
example :
runsql.sh "1" "2"
sql :
updat tables_x set y=0
where
A=:x should subsituted by "1"
and

I am passing a variable in my shell function. I need to access it for an isql comand in the shell script.
However the isql o/p gives no results if i pass a variable in the command. The isql command works perfectly fine if i hardcore the table name.

oarhold - hold a job in OAR batch scheduler.
SYNOPSIS
oarhold [--array][job_ids][--sql "sql syntax"][-r][-h][-V]
DESCRIPTION
Ask OAR to not schedule jobs until oarresume command will be executed.
OPTIONS
-r, --running
Manage not only Waiting jobs but also Running one (can suspend the job)
--array
Hold array job(s) passed as parameter (all the sub-jobs of the given array job(s))
--sql
Hold jobs which repond to the SQL where clause on the table jobs (ex: "project = 'p1'")
-V, --version
Print OAR version number.
-h, --help
