inetd daemon will automatically close the service port if there are more than N connections in a miniute requesting the service. The default N on linux is 40 and can be adjusted. But I find nowhere to adjust it on sco.

i want to kill a tcp connection by killing its pid with netstat -an i got the tcp ip connection on port 5914 but when i type ps -a or ps-e there is not such process running on port 5914 is it possible that because i do not log on with proper user account i can not see that process running? NAME

       ktkt_warnd - Kerberos warning daemon

SYNOPSIS

       /usr/lib/krb5/ktkt_warnd

DESCRIPTION

       ktkt_warnd is a daemon on Kerberos clients that can warn users when their Kerberos tickets are about to expire. It is invoked by inetd when
       a ticket-granting ticket (TGT) is obtained for the first time, such as after using the kinit command. ktkt_warnd can be configured  through
       the  /etc/krb5/warn.conf  file  on the client. In warn.conf, you can specify that you be supplied notice, through syslog, of ticket expira-
       tion.
