date
I saw the previous e-mail and i am working on similer issue,I am modifying a script that i inherited from team, but none of the suggested methods worked for me.
I am trying to take user input date and checking in the files for that date any rejected,delete happened. When i run this it takes my user input for date and looing for current date and saying no file. New to scripting
#/usr/bin/ksh
export ENV=`/usr/ucb/whoami | cut -b6`
export USR=`/usr/ucb/whoami`
. /export/home/$USR/.profile
. /netprov/env$ENV/server/mng/utility/syccpovdef > /dev/null
echo "Date:[YYYY-MM-D] : \c"
read xxx
cd $CCP_AUDIT
Here i need to compare the date that input and date on ls, ecause they are in different format.
temdat1=`date | awk '{print $2}'`
temdat2=`date | awk '{print $3}'`
#echo $temdat2 "Is Working"
#temdat2=9
if [[ $temdat2 -gt 0 && $temdat2 -le 9 ]]
then
#echo "Less than equal 9"
tem="$temdat1 $temdat2"
else
#echo "Greater than 9"
tem="$temdat1 $temdat2"
fi
#tem="$temdat1 $temdat2"
echo $tem
filename=`ls -ltr |grep "$tem" | awk '{print$9}'`
if [[ -z $filename ]]
then
echo "No file"
else
#echo $filename
rm /export/home/syadm7/***/output
egrep '(Error|Warning|Rejected)' $filename >/export/home/syadm7/****/output
n=`wc -c /export/home/syadm7/****/output | awk '{print $1}'`
#echo $n
if [ $n -eq 0 ]
then
print "No Error today"
else
cat /export/home/syadm6/scripts/venkat/output| Mail -s "Today's failed Tran
saction" ****@***.com
print "There was some error in the Transation you will get email about it"
