FC3 / NVidia Issue
having problems with the NVidia Driver Package #6629 using Fedora Core 3... failure to initialize NVidia Kernel...
...this appears to be a pretty common problem and other faqs/forums have yet to find a solution...
the xorg.conf.log states these errors...
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module!
(EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting ***
(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration
i assure you the conf is okay... this installation works perfectly with Red Hat 9...

hi guys i tryed to in stall nvidia driver the other day then i got no kernel found i installed the latest kernal for the drivers rpm based from ftp.nvidia.com and downloaded the pkg 1,2 and the src and the reg bin rpm

In my home network I have a windows XP server and a Redhat FC3 Linux server. The linux server has ssh open to the internet. What I'd like to do is ssh into the FC3 machine and "wakeup" the windows XP box which is in standby mode. Anyone know a way to achieve this? (1 Reply)

snd_ich -- Intel ICH AC'97 and compatible bridge device driver
SYNOPSIS
To compile this driver into the kernel, place the following lines in your kernel configuration file:

device snd_ich
Alternatively, to load the driver as a module at boot time, place the following line in loader.conf(5):
snd_ich_load="YES"
DESCRIPTION
The snd_ich bridge driver allows the generic audio driver sound(4) to attach to Intel ICH AC'97 and compatible audio devices.
Some later chips, like ICH6/ICH7, depending on wiring can instead implement newer Intel HD Audio specification, which is supported by
snd_hda(4) driver.
