Thanks for the code...

I was playing around on my own and think I found ANOTHER solution to the above problem.

All I had to do was build a list of files in a source directory.

I started reading about the "exec" and "eval" commands in TCL/TK.

I should have thought about this sooner, but I didn't.

I did this:

set SOURCE "/some/directory"

set expand_dir_command { ls -R $SOURCE}
set files [ $expand_dir_command ]

foreach filename $files {
puts $filename
}

suspicious-source [options] DESCRIPTION
suspicious-source is a script that outputs a list of files which are not common source files. This should be run in the root of a source tree to find files which might not be the "preferred form of modification" that the GPL and other licenses require. The files inside version control system directories (like .bzr/ or CVS/) are not considered. OPTIONS
