Thanks, but my problems is not with the script, what I really don't know how to do is sending the mail from a command.
mail -t sends a mail only to unix account and I want to send the mail to an "outside" mail account like
something@hotmail.com

concatinating uuencode output to the mail body with mailx command works, but as my Email body is of HTML type i use sendmail.
my command to send HTML body is as below:

DESCRIPTION
The from utility prints out the mail header lines in your mailbox file to show you who your mail is from. If username is specified, user-
name's mailbox is examined instead of your own.
OPTIONS
The following option is supported:
-s sender Only display headers for mail sent by sender.
