your post really dosnt make much sense. im going to have to assume that you mean terminating the proccess of a remote login session. ie, someone is logged into machine A from machine B, you want to kick them off of machine A. well it depends on how they are logged in. usually you can just kill their shell.

to do this you want to know the PID of the proccess you want to kill. assume the user is seed, so type the command "ps aux"
look for output like:

seed 2230 0.0 0.1 2512 656 pts/1 S 14:51 0:00 bash


aside from all the other information there, the main thing you are looking for is the user who is running the process, thats the first column, the PID which is the second column, then the last column which tells you what the process is.

so as root, or the user seed issue the command:

kill -9 2230

then that process will be killed.

NAME

       Lire::Firewall::IpfilterDlfConverter - convert ipf (ipmon) logs to firewall DLF

DESCRIPTION

       Lire::Firewall::IpfilterDlfConverter converts Ipfilter logs into firewall DLF format.  Input for this converter is the standard ipf syslog
       log file as produced by ipmon. IP Filter is shipped with FreeBSD, OpenBSD (up to 2.9) and some other OS's.
