Why does this ONLY iterate on the first server in the list? It's not doing the command on all the servers in the list, what am I missing?

Howdie everyone...
I have a shell script RemoveFiles.sh
Inside this file, it only has two commands as below:
rm -f ../../reportToday/temp/*
rm -f ../../report/*
My problem is that when i execute this script, nothing happened. Files remained unremoved. I don't see any error message as it... (2 Replies)

I wrote the following makefile, I have just one problem, when i type make clean I get the message make 'clean' is up to date and any obj file is removed from my folder, what's wrong?

Hi!
I have a somehow big file (almost 3000 lines long and thirteen columns). Some lines have no value at all or, at least, are incomplete. The columns' values that have no data are marked with a "-" and the corresponding line (the line that owns that value) should be discarded and not used.

I am trying to use bc to calculate the difference between two nano second time stamps. bc does the calculation but seems to ignore the scale option:
micro_start=$(date +%s.%N)
# .. some stuff happens here
micro_stop=$(date +%s.%N)

The command above seems not working on my solaris 8/9 sparc machines.
a. resulted to the ff below when I instead use "shutdown" only.
Broadcast Message from root (pts/1) on "hostname" date..
The system "hostname" will be shut down in 30 seconds

Returns this failure:
mv: rename ./019_0120_WS_WH_gate_insideTEST/05_scripts/*.aep\ Logs to ./019_0120_WS_WH_gate_insideTEST/05_scripts/.LogFiles/*.aep\ Logs: No such file or directory

Hi,
I am using korn shell.
until ]
do
echo "\$# = " $#
echo "$1"
shift
done
To the above script, I passed 2 parameters and the program control doesn't enter inside "until" loop. If I change it to until ] then it does work.

vconsole.conf - configuration file for the virtual console SYNOPSIS
/etc/vconsole.conf DESCRIPTION
The /etc/vconsole.conf file configures the virtual console, i.e. keyboard mapping and console font. The basic file format of the vconsole.conf is a newline-separated list environment-like shell-compatible variable assignments. It is possible to source the configuration from shell scripts, however, beyond mere variable assignments no shell features are supported, allowing applications to read the file without implementing a shell compatible execution engine. Note that the kernel command line options vconsole.keymap=, vconsole.keymap.toggle=, vconsole.font=, vconsole.font.map=, vconsole.font.unimap= may be used to override the console settings at boot. Depending on the operating system other configuration files might be checked for configuration of the virtual console as well, however only as fallback. OPTIONS
The following options are understood: KEYMAP=, KEYMAP_TOGGLE= Configures the key mapping table of for they keyboard. KEYMAP= defaults to us if not set. The KEYMAP_TOGGLE= can be used to configured a second toggle keymap and is by default unset. FONT=, FONT_MAP=, FONT_UNIMAP= Configures the console font, the console map and the unicode font map. FONT= defaults to latarcyrheb-sun16. EXAMPLE
