Which distribution
Hi,
I know this is probably a bad question to ask since there are several distributions and each person has their own personal favorite, but here goes...
What distribution of Linux would you recommend for someone who is a beginner to the Linux / Unix scene who is wanting to learn things, experiment, etc. So basically something that's fairly easy to setup, but still is powerful and capable of doing things.
I have dial-up, so I'd either have to buy a CD or have my friend who has a cable-modem download and burn the distro for me. That's basically the reason I'm asking this question, otherwise I'd just download a few and try them all.
Thanks a lot!
By the way, if you could include a link to a site to download the distribution you'd recommend, I'd appreciate it.
