OK sure. I know what you mean completely. I was just after an idea or two so I may use it on my server. The plan so far is to build samba on to it and develop the directory structure to match my Linux box. SCO's directory structure quite frankly is not all that logical and not that easy to track.

I was hoping that someone that works for a much bigger company would be able to give me an idea or two on what they would use to set up thier servers, or how they would set it up to fit a WANs demands. We have a reasonably good server, not as big as I think we need but it will do the job. 1GB Ram, 2 833 P III CPUS and the Adaptec Ultra 160 SSCI Card. It does a fair amount of labour but our previous guy made a huge mess in the last build. I want to be able to leave for the UK with everything running smooth and with my admin assistant ready to take up the challenge of Systems Administrator.

Mashco are so impressed they don't even want to hear the name Windows NT or 2000, we had to reboot that damned NT box every couple days and all it was doing was servering email. MY linux box which serves 50 users email, files, intranet and even an accounting package runs with a 9Gig SSCI and 128MB Ram, an AMD k6 II 500 (Only machine I could get for it). Has performed so well, Mashco will not move back on to NT at all. It has tuned itself so well to the users even I am impressed.

NAME

       globus-job-clean - Cancel and clean up a GRAM batch job

SYNOPSIS

       globus-job-clean [-r RESOURCE | -resource RESOURCE]
			[-f | -force] [-q | -quiet] JOBID

       globus-job-clean [-help] [-usage] [-version] [-versions]

DESCRIPTION

       The globus-job-clean program cancels the job named by JOBID if it is still running, and then removes any cached files on the GRAM service
       node related to that job. In order to do the file clean up, it submits a job which removes the cache files. By default this cleanup job is
       submitted to the default GRAM resource running on the same host as the job. This behavior can be controlled by specifying a resource
       manager contact string as the parameter to the -r or -resource option.

       By default, globus-job-clean prompts the user prior to canceling the job. This behavior can be overridden by specifying the -f or -force
       command-line options.

OPTIONS

       The full set of options to globus-job-clean are:

       -help, -usage
	   Display a help message to standard error and exit.

       -version
	   Display the software version of the globus-job-clean program to standard output.

       -version
	   Display the software version of the globus-job-clean program including DiRT information to standard output.

       -resource RESOURCE, -r RESOURCE
	   Submit the clean-up job to the resource named by RESOURCE instead of the default GRAM service on the same host as the job contact.

       -force, -f
	   Do not prompt to confirm job cancel and clean-up.

       -quiet, -q
	   Do not print diagnostics for succesful clean-up. Implies -f

ENVIRONMENT

       If the following variables affect the execution of globus-job-clean.

       X509_USER_PROXY
	   Path to proxy credential.

       X509_CERT_DIR
	   Path to trusted certificate directory.
