Top Forums UNIX for Dummies Questions & Answers How do I stop or kill Netscape FastTrack Server? Post 32715 by TioTony on Wednesday 4th of December 2002 09:35:06 PM

Sorry for my bad memory, but here are some vague tips for you. Fasttrack server has an adminstrative port. Sorry I can't remeber the port number off the top of my head, I do believe it is in a config file for the Fasttrack server, so if you can find the directory it is running from and dig around a little, you should be able to find it. If you open a browser to that port, like http://machinename:1234 it will prompt you for an admin login (another problem if you don't know the admin login). Once logged in you will see all available Fasttrack web servers running on the box. You can then just click the 'on/off' button and that will stop them. Port 80 should then be freed up.
