This message means that the host name could not be resolved,

This can mean that the hostname is unknown in you DMS system, or you did not configure your DNS (on this box) in a correct manner.
Or when you are not using DNS, the hostname is unknown in host /etc/host table.

mailx error message -- "me": not a group

Hi all, When I tried to use mailx like mailx -s "test" someone@somedomain.com < myfile , mailx replies with "me": not a group. Mail did get sent though. from [-s sender] [user] The from command prints out the mail header lines in your mailbox file. OPTIONS
Prints headers for mail sent by sender. Specifies a mail spool directory. Use this flag if you want to examine a mailbox in a directory other than /usr/spool/mail, which is the system default. DESCRIPTION
If user is specified, then user's mailbox is examined instead of your own. EXAMPLES
