I'm not sure what you mean by a "different domain". Can you ping the box by IP adress but not by name? Then you have a dns problem and you need to add the HP into your dns entries.

i configured my network settings sometiime ago using the sys-unconfig command.the active link was rtls0.
there was some problem with the network so i changed the ISP. now when im trying to reconfigure the system wit sys-unconfig, it tries to configure the network on rtls1 (and shows... (1 Reply)

ifconfig iprb0 192.168.1.xx netmask 255.255.255.0 up and
Route add default 192.168.1.xxx command to gain back my internet.

SYNOPSIS
dns-cfg [--option ...]
DESCRIPTION
Given a zone name, DNS names, and IP addresses, dns-cfg builds configuration suitable for use with BIND and, perhaps, other DNS servers.
Dns-cfg output consists of three parts. The first part is the text to cut-and-paste into BIND's named.conf file. This part is sent to the
standard output. The outer two parts are direct and reverse zone files. Those may be quite large and are dumped on disk into the appropri-
ately named files. Dns-cfg can use PGL configuration as the source of information.
