Thanks so much! That fixed it. This will really make me look like I know what I'm doing come Tuesday when the report is used.

This works if it's not in a function. I pulled it into one and I get syntax error, no mathcing '<'. I have to call it several times and need it to be a function. Any ideas?

Hi,
i have following line in my code.
eport.pl < $4 | dos2ux | head -2000 | paste -sd\| - | awk -v S="$1" '
Issue is, i get a message saying "awk:input line | found /file/path cannot be longer than 3000 bytes."
"source line number is 3"

im looking to write a script to end user sessions which are on a paticular program and have been for over an hour so I can free up the system a bit.

backupninja.conf is the general configuration file. In this file you can set the log level and change the default directory locations. You can force a different general configuration file with "backupninja -f /path/to/conf". OPTIONS
loglevel How verbose to make the logs. 5 = Debugging messages 4 = Informational messages 3 = Warnings 2 = Errors 1 = Fatal errors reportemail Send a summary of the backup status to this email address reportsuccess If set to 'yes', a report email will be generated even if all modules reported success. reportwarning If set to 'yes', a report email will be generated even if there was no error. logfile The path of the logfile. configdirectory The directory where all the backup action configuration files live. scriptdirectory Where backupninja handler scripts are found usecolors If set to 'yes', use colors in the log file and debug output. when When to process each configuration file.
